Who I help:
Marco’s philosophy is that relationships through various stages of life play a critical role in an individual’s well-being. Marco believes that therapy is beneficial for individuals who might be struggling mentally, emotionally, or need to find balance in their lives. He firmly believes clients are the experts in their own story. A therapist should always meet the client where they are. He uses an eclectic approach to therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Relational Cultural Therapy in order to guide clients toward their ultimate goals.
Marco has worked in the helping profession for the last 12 years with K-12 students and families with an emphasis on serving high school students. He has experienced much success helping teens manage anxiety, anger, depression, panic and worry. In addition, Marco has 12 years of experience helping youth new to the country make the transition and adjust to life in the United States.
Marco is a native Spanish speaker who currently works advocating for families and students at the high school level. Marco earned Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Clinical Social Work degrees from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN. He also enjoys coaching boys and girls soccer in the community.
Marco receives clinical supervision from a qualified, licensed supervisor until completion of full licensure.
