Who I help:
I am someone who joins where others are, sits on the deck of their boat, listening to the waters of their life with them. When observed intently, these waters illustrate both our being and perpetual becoming. I have, and continue to hone, a process by which I consciously navigate my own being and becoming. This process is deeply influenced by mindfulness and self-compassion, Existential Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. These are things that I strive to bring into an active, creative, and collaborative space.
In 2019, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. It is over the course of the next few years that I came to develop an additional interest and inevitable passion for mental health work. I obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services in 2024.
Over the course of my work, I have developed interest and experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, relationships, major life events, and grief / loss. A comment from an observing clinician - “I appreciate his approach with clients because he is focused on self-compassion, insight, and identity. He teaches skills when appropriate and has a gift for making people feel safe.”
I am currently pursuing my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensure, receiving clinical supervision from Brownell Hilger, LICSW and Tara Lemke Ebenhoch, LMFT, as part of my journey towards full licensure.
